North Korea invades the capital city of Seoul. The North Korean Army met little to no resisitence when taking over Seoul. The U.N Called for North Korea to retreat but it didnt do anything and the U.N. called for nations to help South Korea including the U.S.

June 27-July 5, 1950

The U.S. Navy and air force are sent to South Korea. The South Korean army retreats for Seoul while the North Korean army andvances.The U.S. army fights the North Koreans for the first time on July 5th just north on Onsan and had many casualties and had to fall back.

North Korea pushes towards the big city of Pusan, while all of the U.S. and many other counrties in the Korean war build a barrier around the town.North Korea burns town after town on their march to Pusan

September 15 1950

The U.S. and other countries launch an attack on the North Korean controlled port of Inchon 70,000 soldiers attack the Port and suceed greatly.Also they succsessfully cut off the supply chain to the city.

The forces that held up at Pusan start to advance and capture back the cities that they just lost. The North Korean army did put up a good fight though, but when they got word of what happened at Inchon they retreated.

The Soldiers that invaded Inchon push North into deep North Korea. They felt heavy resistance but still kept advancing.

November 25, 1950

China the allies of North Korea lauch an attack sending 200,000 soldiers toward the South Korean and U.S. army. The U.S. and the South Korean army are forced to fall back.

The United States and South Korea hold up the offensive and stop them at the border of North and South Korea.The U.S and South Korea build defenses on the border.

The next two years was a struggle for land. Neither sides gained any ground, and there were only a few battles.

North Korea and South Korea sign a cease fire, but technically they are still at war.They are still trying to unify but nothing has been done yet.
